I’m a Cleveland Ohio native who grew up in a family that places a high value on artistic expression. Being from that type of background, I’ve pretty much practiced art all of my life. I have a BFA in literature from Cleveland State University and I’ve sold my work to private collectors throughout the U.S.
My paintings often depict distorted human figures with missing or hidden faces. I sometimes feign that these figures represent repressed memories or hidden feelings, but that may not entirely be the case. Painting, as with all forms of creative expression, is a dream language to the artist, like automatic writing or intrusive thoughts.
I honestly don’t always know what the artwork is saying; only that it probably means something vaguely important. The work on this site will appeal to people who would rather have fantastic nightmares than monotonous dreams. I invite you to apply your own interpretations.
